The Evans Wedding
I met Nick only the day before he proposed to his girlfriend at the time, Kelsey. Their families' excitement was contagious while we mapped out Hillstone's lakeside garden for the perfect spot. Of course, the next day Kelsey said "yes"; she is the most sweet-spirited lady with a smile that would light up any room, and together they are just as happy as could be.
Fast-forward to their wedding day, and it was all just as exciting and lovely. What began as a sunny Florida afternoon turned to rain, nay, downpour. But the rain didn't ruin a thing... quite the contrary, the rain was enchanting. Kelsey and Nick wore their wedding grins through it all, and Kelsey even reminded us how it was good luck! We laughed at how I was soaked from head to toe, and on our drive to the reception together, this song played through my head:
"The weather is fright'ning
The thunder and lightning
Seem to be having their way
But as far as I'm concerned, it's a lovely day...
Let the rain pitter patter
But it really doesn't matter
If the skies are gray
Long as I can be with you it's a lovely day"
A special thank you to Doug Jackson for helping capture this wedding!
